A bird at Desford Tropical Birdland

A warm sunny day helped eighteen members of tza to enjoy the visit to Desford Tropical Birdland. We met as a group at 2-00pm and entered as a party and then made ou r own way around the park to see the birds at our own pace and pleasure. Many photographs were taken and many discussions took place. One such discussion was ‘what’s the difference between a duck and a goose?’  We will provide an answer in a few days time, unless you tell us first!

Some of us took the opportunity to have photographs taken with a bird on our shoulder [we didn’t actually encourage this, the birds just decided for us!]

The afternoon ended, as ever, with tea and biscuits in the café.

One little [!] problem arose because of the eighteen members present; only two had read the first instruction for this visit, namely bring a picnic. Sixteen of us failed to remember this request. Oh dear, sixteen red faces!

Other than that, the afternoon was a success.  Next visit is to Dudley Zoo on the 7th July, please contact us for more details
