Our annual Art Competition took place on the 6th April with judging done by a members ballot this year.
We had a large amount of entries in the photography class this year, the worthy winner being Emma Sheardown with a picture of her friends beautiful horse showing high spirits in the show ring (and a very brave handler!)
Winner of the Art class was Ivan Ellis, who’s delightful painting of Polar Bears was a nice follow on from his tza talk last month on Tundra to Toronto.
Winner of the craft class for the 2nd year running was Marisha Wawarzynczyk, with a very cute array of knitted animals in a jungle scene
Winner of the non members class was James Bayley, with a very fitting Easter flower arrangement entitled ‘Under the Hedgerow. The arrangement was very kindly donated to the tza and was auctioned off to raise funds.
Gill Mustin’s craft entry of a basket of Easter Chicks filled with chocolate eggs was also sold to raise money for Emma’s Fund and sold out within a couple of minutes – so well done to everyone, a very productive and enjoyable event.
We are looking for ideas for a theme for next years event, any thoughts please contact us
