Twycross Zoo opened to the public in 1963. Since its inception, the zoo has doubled in size and currently maintains about 200 species of animal. Famous for its Primate collection and breeding programmes, the zoo has been a registered charity since 1972.

About the TZA

The TZA's goal is to support and promote the works of
Twycross Zoo by :

• Providing World Class Volunteers
• Sharing information on Twycross Zoo and conservation
• Supporting conservation projects
• Holding a programme of informative and social events
• Providing opportunities to become involved in the zoo
